RAD

So Dave and I were talking today about all things gnarly and rad and we were reminiscing about the good 'ol days and I made mention to the movie RAD which prompted Dave to promptly scour the web and shoot me some great footage. This movie was almost as cool as the Rad Rats Club that Simonson and I held in my tree fort, shakin down the neighbor kids for dues daily. But back to this movie...you have to wonder if this wasn't in slow-mo they would have burned up about 40 secs of the song and then everyone just sitting there in silence...admiring his bikes nut pad. Enjoy this

North Manitou Island

Thank you Drew, who was the only one smart enough to bring a camera on our hike this past summer to North Manitou Island. What was supposed to be a nice, leisurely hike turned out to be a fight for survival as we were surrounded by water but without a way to purify it other than boiling when Tim's purifier broke. Well, I thought it was a fight for life as my survival instincts kicked in after drinking 2 quarts of water and finding out it was broke and immediately finding myself dying of thirst and showing symptoms of hysteria. Dehydration was setting in quick...the lights were growing dim. I almost didn't make it back to the ranger station, but alas, we broke out of the woods and all was good. They can all laugh at me now, but there wasn't a soul that wasn't excited to see that ranger station and a park bench to sit on to rest! God bless you boys, can't wait until the next one!
